Annemieke Buis and Heather Lomax are joining forces to offer their approaches to identifying and removing anxiety from the horse-human relationship from physiological and psychological perspectives. This clinic will give you the tools to reduce tension on the ground and under saddle through nervous system regulation and exercises to help you get out of your horse’s way!

In the mornings, we will focus on groundwork. Annemieke Buis will be teaching about how to regulate your horse’s nervous system to enable a mental, emotional, and physical state to move in a healthy posture. You will learn how the horse perceives their environment both consciously and unconsciously, and the impact this has on their biomechanics. Through relationship-based horsemanship and French classical in-hand work, Annemieke will help you communicate and move with your horse in true harmony.

In the afternoons, we will focus on how that foundation can be used under saddle, as Heather Lomax will be teaching about how to get out of your horse’s way by including your horse in the training relationship and allowing your horse to consent to the next step. Learn how the application of visualization and intention techniques lead to working in harmony with minimal anxiety.
